I'm such a crybaby. I hold back tears very often. Till I can't anymore. It builds up until I explode. And often times that makes things worse. Some people get frustrated with me when I cry. Which ironically, is the reason I hold back tears so often. I've pretty much been conditioned to hold back tears as much as I can since I was a child. Because I'd be ridiculed for it otherwise. And people would be just straight up upset with me for having emotions. Things I've been told before are, "I'll give you something to cry about", "You're too sensitive, how are you going to make it in the real world?", "stop crying", "don't cry", "what is crying (about it) going to do?".

Man, I'd love to just switch it off instantly if I could. But I can't.

Fun Fact!™️ I was so conditioned to hold back tears, that even at situations where it was "acceptable" to cry (funerals, sad movies, etc), I couldn't let myself do it! (I will say though that I've been able to allow myself to cry more recently. However, I still feel very uncomfortable doing so.)

Another Fun Fact!™️ desperately holding back tears gives (at least me) the worst fucking headaches! 🙃
